Elsevier, a global leader in research publishing and information analytics, and the University of California (UC) have signed a ground-breaking memorandum of understanding to support open access (OA) publishing across the 10-campus UC system.

A new agreement has been announced today providing for a broad set of higher education institutions, across the South Central and Southwest Regions of the United States, to support vital open access library infrastructure at a substantial discount.

The new agreement will provide UK universities with access to OUP’s prestigious journal collection and will allow authors at participating institutions to publish 100% of their original research open access in OUP’s hybrid and fully open access journals.

Springer Nature has signed its first transformative agreement (TA) with CRUI-CARE (Conferenza dei Rettori delle Universita Italiane), the association of Italian state and non-state universities which acts on behalf of over 90 Italian academic and research institutions.
