John Wiley & Sons, Inc., today announced the transition of three journals to the Wiley Open Access publishing program, bringing the total number of Wiley’s open access titles to 47. From January 1, 2015, all published articles in Conservation Letters, Thoracic Cancer and The Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine will be open access and free to view, download and share.
Conservation Letters with an Impact Factor of 5.032 is the first high impact conservation science journal to become completely open access. The journal publishes empirical and theoretical research with significant implications for the conservation of biological diversity.
Thoracic Cancer is the official publication of the Chinese Society of Lung Cancer, International Chinese Society of Thoracic Surgery, and is endorsed by the Korean Association for the Study of Lung Cancer and the Hong Kong Cancer Therapy Society. The only English language and international lung cancer journal from Asia-Pacific, Thoracic Cancer has an impact factor of 1.126.
The Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine launched in 1987 and has an Impact Factor of 2.224. The official publication of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, the journal’s research advances veterinary medical knowledge and improve the lives of animals by publishing authoritative scientific articles of animal diseases.

As established journals in their field, they will offer their authors maximum reach, impact and quality and we are very pleased that they have joined the Wiley Open Access publishing program.”
All three journals are now accepting submissions, which will be published open access from January 2015 under a Creative Commons License. As part of the Wiley Open Access publishing program, authors, their funding agencies, or their institutions can pay an Article Publication Charge (APC), to ensure that the article is made available to non-subscribers upon publication via Wiley Online Library. Funders and Institutions can pay via a Wiley Open Access Account and also simplify the management of their open access funds by using the Account Dashboard .
