The momentum continues as ProQuest joins forces with yet another publisher group – Taylor & Francis – to provide libraries with more choices for purchasing ebooks though OASIS.
The OASIS system provides end-to-end acquisition workflow support to the market’s largest selection of ebooks (more than 1.7 million titles) via the Ebook Central, EBL, ebrary, MyiLibrary, EBSCO, and now two Taylor & Francis ebook platforms.
Taylor & Francis is one of the world’s leading publishers of scholarly content. With this new integration of platforms, libraries can access Taylor & Francis eBooks’ multidisciplinary research materials, including more than 60,000 titles in 34 subject areas spanning humanities, social sciences, education, behavioral sciences, environment, and law – as well as the CRC netBASE platform of more than 14,000 references in scientific, technical and medical subject areas.
“We are serious about building publisher partnerships to offer an increasing array of options for acquiring books according to our customers’ needs and preferences,” said Kevin Sayar, Senior Vice President and General Manager, ProQuest Books. “Ultimately, our goal is to make OASIS a gateway to order books from any platform or publisher.”
“We are more than excited to offer our complete range of e-books on ProQuest’s OASIS platform,” said Evelyn Elias, Director, Academic Library Sales at Taylor & Francis. “She added, “This offering is an important step toward streamlining the ordering process and improving workflows for our library customers.”
