Springer Nature’s MyCopy service is now available for library users in Israel. MyCopy allows patrons of registered libraries to order a softcover copy of a Springer eBook for a flat fee of 24.99 (USD, GBP, EURO, CHF).
Libraries in Israel which have bought the corresponding eBook collection now have the MyCopy service available for their users. Books purchased in this way are for personal use and must be ordered through Springer’s online platform SpringerLink. The vast majority of English-language Springer eBooks, including the Springer Book Archives, are available in a MyCopy format and the number of titles continues to increase.
MyCopy is an affordable option for students and researchers who wish to obtain a printed version of a Springer eBook through their library. The flat fee for a MyCopy book includes shipping and handling and the entire ordering process goes through Springer Nature in cooperation with a print-on-demand (POD) provider.
Initially piloted in North America in 2008, MyCopy is offered in 31 countries in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and other locations around the world.
Ran Schweitzer, Licensing Manager for Israel, said: “I am excited that we have now rolled out the MyCopy service to Israel. We responded to the growing demand by Israeli libraries to provide this service to their patrons. MyCopy is a wonderful way to enable library users to purchase their own personal printed copies of eBooks from our eBook collections.”
