Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, has appointed Jim Donohue as Managing Director of the Global Clinical Reference group in Elsevier Health Sciences. In this new role, Donohue will report to Michael Hansen, CEO of Elsevier Health Sciences.
One of Donohue’s first responsibilities is the commercial launch in April 2012 of Elsevier’s ClinicalKey, the world’s first clinical insight engine. ClinicalKey provides relevant, fast, trusted and comprehensive clinical answers for clinicians.

Jim and his team will be spearheading those efforts.”
Jim Donohue started at Elsevier in 2006 as Managing Director for Science & Technology books and then worked as the SVP/General Manager of MD Consult. Prior to Elsevier, Donohue served as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Augsburg Fortress, and prior to that he founded and served as CEO of NetDoctor, the U.K.’s leading internet health website and one of the fifth most visible websites in the U.K. at the time. Donohue has also held vice president positions for EMEA at Times Mirror International Publishers, and was vice president for marketing at Harper Collins.
Jim is based in Philadelphia. He has a B.A. in Political Science and Rhetoric from the University of Arizona and an M.A. in Rhetoric and Public Address from the University of Iowa.
