Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, today announced its collaboration with Qatar University by providing access to SciVal Experts, allowing for effective management of researcher profiles and subject area expertise identification for future collaboration projects.
SciVal Experts, a product of Elsevier’s SciVal research management solutions, is a researcher networking tool which helps locate researchers within and across disciplines and institutions. Built on publication history data from Scopus – the world’s largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature – SciVal Experts provides an overview of researchers’ current publication data and grant information, making it easier to find subject area experts and form research teams within but also across organizations and institutions, locally and internationally.
“With access to SciVal Experts Qatar University will be able to more efficiently manage its constantly evolving database of faculty and researcher profiles,” said Dr. Moumen O. Hasnah, Director of Academic Research at Qatar University. “In our aim to stimulate and develop a more collaborative approach to research, we are pleased to provide our researchers with access to SciVal Experts, driven by data from Scopus, to help advance the research community at Qatar University.”
“Elsevier is honored to work together with Qatar University by providing them access to SciVal Experts,” said Nick Fowler, Elsevier’s Managing Director Academic & Government Institutional Markets. “We believe that it will enhance the effectiveness of their research performance, stimulating effective and efficient collaboration initiatives not only among researchers at the University, but also globally.”
