McMaster University Libraries are partnering with the Public Library of Science (PLOS) in a pilot project to remove financial barriers to publishing research. The two-year project will see the elimination of author/article processing charges (APCs) in all PLOS journals. Typically, authors incur APCs to cover the cost associated with making their article publicly available for free in open access journals.

Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) and Taylor & Francis have announced a new three-year transformative partnership to increase the publication of open access (OA) articles by researchers at the leading science and technology institution.

As part of the new agreement, Frontiers will join the WEF’s Centre for New Society and Economy and will champion open science across the network. Supporting global initiatives in the field, Frontiers will work with its WEF partners to share and promote the evidence-based benefits of open science and to influence global thinking on its positive impact on society.

Wiley, one of the world’s largest publishers and a global leader in research and education, today announced a new open access agreement with Joint University Librarians Advisory Committee (JULAC) in Hong Kong, starting January 1, 2023.  

The Public Library of Science (PLOS) is pleased to announce a consortium agreement with Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) that allows member institutions to participate in PLOS’ three innovative publishing models. This two-year agreement provides researchers affiliated with consortium members with unlimited publishing privileges in PLOS journals without them having to cover fees themselves.
