Accucoms, the specialist in global sales and marketing for publishers and societies, today announced that Simon Boisseau will take over as Managing Director from its founder, from the beginning of 2020.
Simon has been at Accucoms since 2012, during which time he has been Commercial Director for Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. He has more than 20 years’ experience in STM publishing and has a track record of global sales growth. He has overseen the start-up of companies, brands, and products, and was closely involved in Accucoms’ re-establishing itself after the Swets bankruptcy in 2014.
Pinar Erzin, Accucoms’ founder, will remain as Chair of the Board. She said, “I am delighted that Simon has accepted this role. Simon and I have worked together for the last 8 years, and I know from working so closely with him for so long what an asset he is to Accucoms. I am in the enviable position of being able to hand over the reins to someone who does not need to learn about what we do and who we are, but who can immediately hit the ground running and will continue to nurture and care for this business: its people, its customers, and the service it delivers.”
She continued, “I would like to thank our customers for their years of partnership with us, and especially their good faith in Accucoms through a very uncertain time in 2014. I am delighted that I feel the company is in a good position to allow me to step aside, and I am certain that under Simon’s leadership Accucoms will continue to deliver the best offering of intelligent sales representation and related services to our customers.”
Simon Boisseau said, “I am honoured to have been given the opportunity to lead Accucoms – a truly global company full of talented people and excellent clients.”
He continued, “We have a tremendous opportunity to grow further by continuing to support excellence in our core activities, and to diversify by bringing our strong business values and service into new areas. I would also like to extend my gratitude to Pinar for her remarkable energy and leadership over the years, and I look forward to working closely with her during the transition.”
