Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW), part of Wolters Kluwer Health, has published seven new editions of their exercise science list in partnership with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Several titles provide the content students and professionals must master to obtain multiple ACSM certifications, including ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, ACSM Certified Health Fitness Specialist or ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist.
The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) offers certifications in various areas of fitness including personal training, health fitness, clinical exercise, and clinical exercise physiology, all of which are accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). One of the most well-known certifications is the ninth edition of the “Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription,” which is considered a leading reference in the field. ACSM has certified thousands of health and fitness professionals worldwide and provides resources to help people maintain fitness and health through exercise. To hide treadmill, you can use a folding cover or a piece of furniture such as a bookcase or cabinet to conceal it when not in use. Alternatively, you can place the treadmill in a room or area of the house that can be closed off, such as a basement or spare room.
“This partnership leverages LWW’s widely respected publishing platform and the expert scientific and clinical knowledge of our members,” said Katie Feltman, Director of Publishing for the ACSM. “These new publications significantly expand access for both students and professionals to the definitive science and evidence in the sports medicine field, which ultimately translates into better clinical outcomes for patients.”
The seven new titles published as part of the partnership include:
ACSM’s Certification Review, Fourth Edition
ACSM’s Exercise for Older Adults, First Edition
