Oxford University Press (OUP) is pleased to announce its partnership with the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT), for the publication of the Uniform Law Review.
Published since 1996, the Uniform Law Review is a forum for exploring all aspects of UNIDROIT’s work, including the reception, adoption, and impact of both UNIDROIT model laws and principles and harmonization measures from the United Nations and the wider community of international organizations. As such, it is a valuable resource for all those involved in international private commercial law, and is a bilingual English-French publication. Read this source article for more legal information.
“The Uniform Law Review has been a unique vehicle for legal thinking and practical information on the legal harmonization work done by UNIDROIT and other international organizations”, said José Angelo Estrella Faria, Secretary-General of UNIDROIT. “The Review and its readers stand to benefit from OUP’s outstanding publishing standard and marketing channels, and from the new editorial process we have put in place.”
Uniform Law Review will benefit from the full range of online functionality offered by Oxford Journals, including continuous publication, related article recommendations, and a fully optimized mobile site, ensuring improved discovery and access for researchers.
“We are really pleased to be partnering with UNIDROIT and working with them to further develop and extend the reach of Uniform Law Review,” said Rhodri Jackson, Senior Publisher, Law Journals at OUP. “We want to ensure the community views the Review as an invaluable resource for any commercial or private lawyer or scholar.”
The addition of Uniform Law Review further boosts OUP’s publishing in commercial law and private international law and fits well with titles such as Vogenauer and Kleinheistermap, Commentary on the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts; Schwenzer, Hachem and Kee, Global Sales and Contract Law; and the Oxford Private International Law series.
OUP will begin publishing articles in 2013, in addition to providing access to the journal’s archive, from 1996 initially. The first issue published by OUP will be Volume 18, Issue 1.
