Wiley, a global leader in research and education, has launched its new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) website during the UN’s “Global Goals Week 2024,” an annual week of action, awareness and accountability for the UN SDGs. Wiley’s new SDG website underscores Wiley’s commitment to driving sustainability, inclusion, impact, and knowledge-sharing.
Designed to bring together Wiley’s extensive journals, research articles, special issues, virtual collections, book chapters and reference works, Wiley’s SDGs site provides a central hub for knowledge and research insights related to all 17 SDGs. The website also showcases the Company’s own Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, highlighting the organization’s pathway to fostering a sustainable future.
Key features of Wiley’s SDG website include:
- 17 Dedicated SDG Pages: Each goal has a dedicated landing page, featuring relevant research, learning and actionable insights.
- Curated Content: Access to selected high-impact research articles, themed collections and books that demonstrate tangible contributions to each SDG.
- Resources for Researchers: Valuable resources, tools and information are available for those looking to align their research with the SDGs or seeking to publish SDG-related research.
- Wiley’s Actions: An overview of Wiley’s ESG initiatives and its ongoing efforts towards supporting global sustainability.
“At Wiley, we believe in the transformative power of knowledge. We’re thrilled to kick off Global Goals Week with the introduction of our new UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) website,” said Jo Wixon, Director, External Analysis at Wiley and SDG Publishers Compact Fellow. “The site embodies our commitment to leveraging research and learning to enable meaningful progress. As a leader in research and educational publishing, we recognize the importance of contributing to these goals. We are committed to supporting researchers, educators, professionals and policymakers in forming policies, making innovations, and identifying and implementing real-world solutions.”
“We are deeply committed to shaping a sustainable future. Communicating the latest evidence-based research is a responsibility we take very seriously, and this site plays a crucial role in that mission,” said Bill Deluise, Corporate VP, Communications and Corporate Impact for Wiley. “Research driving global change across all 17 SDGs should be visible and accessible. We hope that this will not only support researchers but will also inspire and engage generations of problem solvers.”
