LIBER and ADBU sign Memorandum of Understanding

A new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between LIBER and ADBU (Association des directeurs et personnels de direction des bibliothèques universitaires et de la documentation) has recently been approved. The MoU was signed off during LIBER’s Executive Board Meeting on the 11th of February 2021 and by ADBU’s Board on the 18th.

This new MoU will enable ADBU and LIBER to work together on joint projects in the library and research sectors. Moreover, it is a result of LIBER’s wishes to reinforce connections with national library networks and to further add value for its member libraries.

Astrid Verheusen, Executive Director of LIBER, had the following to say about this new development: “We are very pleased to be able to work with ADBU to strengthen our connections with research libraries both in France and beyond. Added to that, the MoU will allow us increased opportunities to work together on new projects relevant to our audiences. It is no doubt an important strategic collaboration for both LIBER and ADBU.”

Marc Martinez, President of ADBU, expressed his approval of the new partnership with LIBER: “We welcome the opportunity to strengthen our commitment with LIBER. This MoU formalises the existing relationship between the two associations and allows us to build a more ambitious strategy. We are looking forward to working together on the joint study and more projects in the future.
