The Virtual Conference Platform and Digital Repository is Providing Solutions for Conferences
Underline (www.underline.io) has secured partnerships with several leading scientific associations to produce and host important scientific and academic conferences in Summer and Fall 2020. All of these meetings were initially planned to be held in-person, but organizers have turned to Underline, and a virtual format, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Underline’s platform successfully launched in May, with the International Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems (AAMAS 2020), followed by the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovations (AIAI 2020), the International Conference on Engineering Applications of Neural Networks (EANN 2020), and the Conference of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI-20).
Underline is the world’s first virtual conference platform and digital repository for events in academia, science, medicine and other professional fields. Underline’s online video platform is custom-built for scientific and academic events, and their Emmy Award-winning production team is aggregating and hosting conference content in both live and virtual environments, allowing presenters to reach new global audiences while also giving meeting attendees the ability to watch or re-watch any content during and after conferences. Underline’s mission is to digitize scientific knowledge through video, making it globally accessible and useful, by enriching and preserving conference content. Researchers can cite the lectures, share content, search technical papers, connect with the speakers and start collaborations.
Through a wide range of virtual, live streaming, interactivity and networking options for events, Underline answers the challenges associated with Covid-19, helping organizations deliver important content, research and presentations from conferences to their attendees and members. Underline is managing conference content for these organizations from beginning to end, and Underline has become a trusted partner to the world’s top scientific associations.
“We look forward to producing and hosting these important scientific meetings on Underline, and are pleased that our platform will enable these conferences to carry on, and facilitate new research and new discoveries,” said Alex Lazinica, CEO of Underline Science. “At Underline, we are committed to providing a permanent and globally accessible home for important scientific and academic content.”
All conference content, including live streams, presentations, workshops and lecture videos, will be available for viewing on underline.io, along with slides, demos, abstracts and tutorials. With attendees joining the conferences from around the globe and in different time zones, Underline’s platform maximizes both the scholarship, interactivity and networking opportunities for these important forums.
First up on Underline’s calendar is the American Association of Physics Teachers (APPT) 2020 Summer Meeting and Physics Education Research Conference (PERC) from Sunday, July 19 to Thursday, July 23. The AAPT Summer Meeting, which brings together physics educators from around the globe, partnered with Underline after conference chairs determined the in-person meeting originally scheduled to be in Grand Rapids, Michigan would not be possible due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The AAPT® Virtual Summer Meeting and PERC will feature a full program with plenary speakers, sessions, workshops and many special activities. The meetings provide physics educators from around the world the opportunity to develop and strengthen professional connections, as well as learn about the latest in physics theory, research methodology and education from leaders in the field. Next, Underline will produce and host the scientific content for the 24th biennial European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI 2020) from Monday, August 31 to Thursday, September 3. ECAI 2020 is Europe’s premier artificial intelligence research forum, and was initially set to take place in Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
ECAI 2020, now Digital ECAI 2020, will feature a full program of technical papers, more than 400 presentations, as well as AI-related events of interest for researchers, students and attendees interested in contemporary AI. In addition, co-located events such as the Exhibits, Lab2Market, panels and others will be announced in the coming weeks on the new Digital ECAI 2020 website: Digital ECAI2020.
In late October, Underline will produce and host the virtual content for the Association For The Advancement Of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) Conference on Human Computation and Crowdsourcing (HCOMP). This meeting takes place from Monday, October 26 to Wednesday, October 28, and is the premier venue for the latest research findings on crowdsourcing and human computation.
HCOMP 2020 will feature a full program, with keynote speakers, sessions, workshops and many special activities in partnership with co-host, The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision. To keep updated, please visit the HCOMP 2020 page: https://www.humancomputation.com/.
