Atypon, the leading technology provider in scholarly and professional publishing, has acquired Inera, whose suite of editorial and XML solutions transforms publishers’ workflows.
Inera’s eXtyles product family automates the most time-consuming aspects of document production—cleanup, formatting, editing, and conversion to XML—and is a natural complement to Atypon’s growing portfolio of online authoring, discovery, and publishing products.

The Inera team, as part of Atypon, will continue its focus on developing state of the art publishing workflow solutions, including expansion of Inera’s recently introduced technology for fully automated conversion of unstructured Word content to JATS XML.

The latest of five acquisitions over the past several years, Inera’s technology will further the development of Atypon’s end-to-end solutions for publishers of all types.
