Tony Roche, Publishing Director at Emerald Publishing, said: “We are naturally very pleased to have delivered our best ever Journal Citation Reports results, an achievement which is down to the great work of our authors, reviewers, and editors.
“It’s particularly gratifying to return such a strong performance among our core subject areas, including Management, Marketing, Tourism and Hospitality.”
“We recognize that researchers are expected to demonstrate impact on multiple levels. As such, we’re pleased to offer support and tools to help authors maximize their impact through citation and wider engagement, including among the scholarly community, teaching, policy and practice settings.”
Emerald’s impressive Impact Factor performance follows hot on the heels of the news that Emerald remains – according to CiteScore – the publisher with the leading share of journals in the Business, Management & Accounting field, with over 16% of the sector. CiteScore is one of a number of measures that help provide a holistic overview of a Scopus-indexed journal or serial title’s performance in the index.
Emerald will be sharing a fuller picture of its 2016 JCR performance in the coming weeks.
