Biomarkers in Toxicology is a timely and comprehensive reference dedicated to aspects of biomarkers that relate to chemical exposure and their effects on biological systems, bringing together a unique and focused evaluation of the latest research and technologies in this area. It includes both vertebrate and non-vertebrate species models for toxicological testing and development of biomarkers. This reference volume contains chapters written by leading subject-matter experts on important topics and applications of biomarkers in molecular toxicology, nanotoxicology, biomonitoring, drug efficacy evaluation and more.
Dr. Gupta is editor of five toxicology books with Elsevier and served as Guest Editor for Elsevier journal Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology. With over 350 publications to his credit, he has extensive research experience in biomarkers of pesticides, metals, mycotoxins, nutraceuticals and neurodegenerative diseases. Dr. Gupta is currently Professor and Head of the Toxicology Department, Breathitt Veterinary Center, Murray State University, Hopkinsville, Ky.
